It feels like chaos scrambling about my mind and I have to place my hand over my chest to check to make sure my heart is still pumping blood throughout my veins. Madness floods my ear canal and penetrates through the cochlea jabbing right into my nerve. I let out a long subtle sigh and my soul poured out with it. Then came my vertebrae and its foundation. I’ll just let it soak into the carpet and Maria can steam it out in the morning. My inscrutable and listless body will also be there for her to pick up. I’ll leave her a note on the fridge, so she knows to just put it in the black can.

Startled, the cat awakened as the leaves rustled in the window beside him. The winds were strong as they roared across the building roofs and crashed between apartment windows. But the cat’s head slowly fell back to the couch as he realized he was safely inside. The feeling of warmth surrounded the living room as she sat comfortably on the couch, listening to the crackles in the ceiling. The white glow of the newly entangled Christmas lights filled the room. Muffled sirens from down below lightly echo, just as the cat changes sleeping positions.

Lately, life has been throwing some unforeseen curve-balls at my face. The kind that smacks you right in between the eyes when you're least expecting it. They're the best, let me tell you. I have started a new life, my slate has been wiped clean. I'm ready to take on my ambitions, I'm anticipating future goals and I am prepared for whatever else life decides to hurl at me. I am going to open my eyes for more inspiration, more knowledge and more motivation. I just turned on life's ignition and all I can do is drive.
